Sam’s Tailor — Bespoke tailoring, re-stitched for the web
The Situation
Sam’s Tailor is a fourth-generation bespoke tailoring house in Hong Kong, known for hand-cut suits with a 48-hour turnaround. Their online presence relied on a flat-file static site that could not keep pace with modern retail expectations.
Customers could not browse the fabric library online, manage fitting appointments, or view the gallery of finished work. Sam’s needed a digital storefront as precise and hand-crafted as the suits themselves.
What We Did
- Rebuilt from scratch — A Bricks Builder WordPress site preserving the warm, artisanal brand identity while adding modern e-commerce capabilities
- Custom fabric library — A WooCommerce product catalogue with pre-defined variations for fabric type, cut, and style
- Rank Math SEO — Full schema markup (LocalBusiness, Product, Service) to surface their Hong Kong storefront in local and tailoring-related search
- Measurement submission — A system that lets remote clients upload their measurements with annotated body-diagram overlays
The Result
- Clean migration — From a 14-year-old flat-file HTML site to a modern, scalable WordPress + Bricks foundation
- Page speed — 58/100 to 94/100 on Lighthouse mobile
- Fabric library — 40+ product variations across 3 categories
- SEO visibility — Gains within 30 days of Rank Math deployment
- Zero 404s — All existing URLs preserved
“Congruence didn’t just build us a website. They watched our tailors work, understood the rhythm of our shop, and built a digital storefront that fits the way we actually do business.”
